Tour Itinerary: 3 Days Tour Errachidia To Merzouga
Day 1: Errachidia Airport- Merzouga Desert
The driver/guide will pick you up from Moulay Ali Cherif Airport to start your 3 days tour Errachidia to Merzouga and back, you will drive directly to Merzouga because most of the flights that land at the airport arrive at night. Overnight at a hotel in Merzouga.
Day 2: Merzouga 4x4 excursion - Erg Chebbi - Camel Trek and night at Desert Camp
After a local breakfast at your hotel, you will start your Merzouga 4×4 excursion to explore the most interesting sites around Erg Chebbi dunes, you will start by Hassi Labied oasis to see its irrigation canal and land agriculture after you will head south to the seasonal Sriji lake (if there is a water in it).
We will continue to Khamlia village to have a chance to listen to the Gnawa music of the skinned people who were brought as immigrants to Morocco over a hundred years ago and were working as slaves… afterward, you will continue to M’ifis mines Besides, the tourism Merzouga desert it’s also famous of minerals and fossils.
During your Merzouga 4×4 desert tour, you will visit a nomad Berber family, who is still living in their tent in the middle of the Sahara, you will have the opportunity to discover their lifestyle and enjoy a glass of mint tea with them.
Later on, you will have more time to make stops at different panoramic views to enjoy the scenery and take many pictures of the sights… the lunch will be in a local restaurant to enjoy the Berber pizza, after you will come back to the village, and you will be ready to do the Camel Trekking, you will ride camels around 1h30 min to reach our Berber Camp in Merzouga with a break on top of the dunes to enjoy the magical sunset, in addition, you will try the sandboarding if that’s an activity you are interested in, take many photos, enjoy the views…
You will continue to your Camp, where you will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea and relax until dinner time, after, there will be some traditional Berber music under a starry sky, and spend your night in a Luxury Berber Camp.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi - Rissani - Arfoud - Ziz Valley - Errachidia
On the 3rd day of your 3 Days Errachidia T o Merzouga, we recommend you wake up early to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dune very close to your Camp in the Sahara Desert, then have your breakfast and take a shower at the camp. After, you will ride your camel back to the original location to meet your driver or you can back by 4WD.
Later, when you meet the driver, you will continue your 3 days tour Errachidia to Merzouga via Rissani where you will visit its local weekly market, you will drive further to Erfoud a famous town of its yearly festival of dates and fossils with the possibility to visit one of its minerals factories (Optional).
Then, we will continue to Errachidia through the village of Aoufous to reach the beautiful Ziz Valley, where you will have the opportunity to stop at the panoramic view and enjoy its admirable landscapes, and take pictures…before we head to Errachidia where we will drop you off at the airport or hotel and end of our 3 Days Tour From Errachidia To Merzouga.
